Charlton Heston's Painting of Theater from 1940

This canvas depicts various acting scenes being performed no doubt at the school's drama department at New Trier High School in the Suburbs north of Chicago. The canvas is signed on the the back by the young 17 year old Mr. Heston. This piece is interestingly painted and reminiscent of the large murals painted in various public spaces of the period.
