Fall Runway: Brooches

The runways have spoken – brooches are back.

From Dolce & Gabbana to Prada, Balenciaga and Alexander Wang – brooches were the accessory of choice on the Fall runways. With the arrival of colder weather and a return to decadence, the runways are not surprisingly awash with rich textiles and shiny baubles to usher in the season, but this year the return of the brooch was somewhat of a wild card.

In many ways, recent styling of brooch is the freshest trend we’ve seen in awhile. Part heirloom, part modern, many brooches offer an opulent nod to the past with a new take on shine.
